Willow Park School Quiz Night 2025 - Adults Only!

Thanks to the Friends of Willow Park for organising a sensational 90s Quiz Night on Friday night. Over 120 parents, friends and whānau turned out to support the event, help raise money for the school and to have a lots of fun! Ben Kelsey was our host and quiz master, a real entertainer who kept the fun and frivolics going.

Duirng the night as well as the rounds of quiz questions, there were games, a silent auction and two raffles. A very hard fought game of heads and tails with the audience had to be settled by a game of good old-fashioned paper scissors rock. Two coin toss games were very popular, and led to two lucky people taking home a bottle of wine and a record voucher. We also had a best dressed winner which was very hard for Mr Millward to decide - from Spice Girls, to Pulp Fiction characters, and grunge outfits, the eventual winner was an outfit from Jurrasic Park.

The eventual winners of the Quiz Night were Quiztina Aguilera, closely followed by Les Quiz, and then third place went to Gettin Quizzy Wit It.

A huge thank you to Sonja who coordinated and organised the event, and to the many volunteers both staff and parents who helped on the night. It couldn't have happened without you all! Thanks to all of the donations from the local and Auckland-wide businesses that generously donated, including Shannon Vincent who was our maitre d, helped on the bar and helped with the games. A special thank you to Alysha Moore who put together the PowerPoint and who came on the night to ensure there were no technical hitches.

Volunteers

Prepping and running the Quiz last night was no small feat, it was a different ballgame to the Gala, this time we had paying punters and a show to put on - we had to feed, hydrate and entertain over 150 people! You gave us your time and effort and it genuinely couldn't have happened without you. For those not there in person, let me tell you that the vibes were immaculate and people were coming up to compliment all the work that went into it. 

We want to make sure that we keep putting on events that people love to attend, but also that people are happy to help with and volunteer for!
