School Uniform

We are thrilled to announce a significant update that will enhance the spirit of our school, in line with the work over the last two years revisioning and rebranding our school with our new logo. We are exctied to unveil our brand-new school uniform, designed to strengthen our values and foster pride among our students. We firmly believe that this change will contribute to a positive learning environment and strengthen the sense of belonging within our school community.

NZ Uniforms was tasked by the Board to bring our concept to life, and the final product is an exciting move forward for our school. One of the major areas of feedback from families is the importance of ensuring our uniform is easy to purchase. With NZ uniforms there are two ways to purchase, via the NZ Uniforms shop in Albany (19A Douglas Alexander Parade, Rosedale, Auckland, 0632), or via the NZ Uniform online shop for delivery or pick-up. The shop has a large changing area, plenty of school stock, and provides other items that may be needed to provide a “one-stop shop”.  The opening hours are Monday through Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm, and Saturdays 9.00am - 4.00pm. Our uniform is compulsory and should be worn correctly at all times.  To view our uniform procedures click here.

Students can choose to wear the sports uniform or the more formal uniform at school. All items in the uniform can be worn by all students regardless of impairment, health conditions, ethnicity, sex or gender identity.

Tops: WPS polo shirt

Bottoms: WPS shorts OR WPS skort OR WPS PE shorts OR WPS PE Skort

Hats: WPS Bucket hat OR WPS broad-brimmed hat

Outer garment: WPS Hoodie

Other uniform items that students may choose to wear as part of the school guidelines:

• WPS Long sleeved polo shirt

• WPS Tracksuit pants

• WPS beanie hat

There are no uniform requirements for shoes and socks, however shoes need to be practical for a range of activities at school - trainers or shoes are the most suitable.

There are no uniform requirements for winter coats or raincoats.

The Board supports a lengthy transition between old and new uniforms to ensure a reduced impact on the environment and to minimise the initial financial outlay for whānau. Students may wear the current uniform until they outgrow it or it wears out, and naturally requires replacement.  The only requirement is that children in a sports team will need to wear a new sports shirt to participate in sports from 2024.

A sports uniform is required for children who play extra curricular sports for Willow Park School.
