Rugby

Willow Park has many keen rugby players. In the past we have had both boys and girls representing the school.

Year 3 - 6 children are able to play Rippa Rugby which is a very safe, non-contact, easy to play game for both boys and girls alike.  The object of Rippa Rugby is to score a try before the opposition rips the flag from your belt.  Best of all it's lots of fun and exciting for all involved. 

The tackle rugby team is made up of the bigger children from Years 4 – 6. 

The children are offered the chance to play in 3 tournaments throughout the year run by North Harbour Rugby - the Barbarian Tournament played at Ngataringa Grounds is a highlight with many ex-All Blacks on hand to lend their expertise.
