The North Shore Primary School's Tournament took place on Wednesday 10 August 2011 at Wairau Intermediate. Our teams were THE CHESS MASTERS and THE CHECK MATES.  There were more 28 teams from primary schools all over the North Shore. The eight players who represented Willow Park were Jack Sun, Calvin Webster, Ethan Wingfield, Peter Xie, Lulu Wang, Derek Chen, William Hko and Francis Thorpe. On the first day the Chess Masters ended in second place and had to go back the next day to play against the top 8 teams. The WILLOW PARK Chess Masters came third overall!! They impressed with their manners, integrity and outstanding behaviour. Congratulations!
